A4C FAQ’s

Not a “professional” creative?

True, this collective was initially created by and for individuals pursuing creative careers as an outlet for re-connection and re-inspiration via new arts and acquaintances—but most of our events are beginner-friendly, and (unless otherwise specified) creatives of all disciplines and aspirations are welcome at our events.

What to bring to an in-person event?

First and foremost: yourself!

Secondarily, a friend. The more the merrier!

Some events have specific materials requirements or suggestions, so be sure to read the event description thoroughly. Unless otherwise specified, basic materials are provided, and if the space we’re using allows, you’re usually welcome to bring additional materials if you like. Any questions about specific supplies or events should be directed to info@art4creatives.com.

Can I bring my kid(s) to your events?

Our events are designed to be inclusive of all identities, and a variety of levels and abilities. Our standard age range for our events is 16+, though we do periodically host adults-only events.

That said, unless we’re hosting an 18+ or 21+ event, we are open to making exceptions to this age range on a case-by-case basis. If you have a well-behaved younger kiddo you’d like to bring to one of our events, reach out to our facilitators at info@art4creatives.com.

Masking policy/COVID-19 Precautions?

We do a lot to keep our events safe and accessible for all. That said, our general policy is that use of individual face masks is OPTIONAL, though highly encouraged. We always try to have free masks available on site for our ticketed events.

We do not provide masks for our free-creation events at this time.

Are free-creation events “free”?

The “free” in free-creation comes first and foremost from the belief that creative exploration should be a largely self-led and intuitive process. Secondarily, it’s a play on words alluding to “recreation”. Thirdly, accessibility is a huge part of our mission at Art For Creatives. Our hope is that our Free-Creation events will always be free or low-cost, thanks to community support and contributions from businesses, individuals, and past and future participants—like you!

That said, these specific types of events are largely unstructured community creation opportunities that are open to the public with a pay-what-you-can $5-10 suggested donation to help us cover our costs and keep events accessible.

How can I get involved as a volunteer, collaborator, or partner for your events?

We’re always open to exploring new opportunities with community partners. Have an idea of your own that you’d like some help bringing to life? Looking to share a skill or challenge yourself to grow while supporting our creative community? Complete this short survey and we’ll get in touch!

What’s your return policy?

That depends. All digital products and in-person event product sales are final. For physical products ordered online, returns will only be considered in the case of Damaged Goods. Full details of our return policy can be found at https://art4creatives.com/returns.
